A woven tapestry of moments: from the first sunrise to the quiet strength of Hazel's legacy. Please add your memories of her journey to the timeline.

Born September 4, 1942, to Lucille and Charles Howard Robinson in San Francisco, California.

Hazel married Michael Liebert in San Jose at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Family was complete with the birth of Paul Andrew.

Mike, Hazel, Bill, Starr and Paul live in Boulder, CO for a one year IBM assignment. Taking advantage of the climate, Hazel learned to ice skate, ski, host picnics in below, freezing temperatures (frozen pickles…no joke), build terrific snowmen and make snow angels.

Hazel's family moved from Morgan Hill, California to Tucson, AZ, where she stayed until 1998. She earned her BA in Business Administration from University of Phoenix and built a career as a Technical Writer at IBM and CSC. She studied at the Desert Institute for the Healing Arts, becoming a certified Shiatsu, Reiki, and Reflexology practitioner.

Hazel and Paul made their way to West Hartford, CT to join Starr and her husband Darrell Cookman, pictured here.

Hazel becomes a grandmother! Rowan Cookman is born and it is love at first site. Rowan's first word was "Ga", so Hazel assumed the name of "Ga" and never looked back.

Hazel's granddaughter, Ella Cookman, was born. Both quickly became deeply embedded in each other's heart and soul.

Hazel thrives in her role as grandma to all the children in the community. She thoroughly enjoyed her time in Collinsville, Connecticut, where she encouraged children to use their imagination and creativity.

Hazel's son, Bill Liebert, predeceased her suddenly from heart failure. She showed strength and resilience.

Despite multiple health issues resulting in hospitalizations, loss of function and pain, Hazel never lost her ability to smile and love and laugh.

Hazel left behind a world, more colorful, more musical, and more loved than the one she entered. She is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Alec) and Starr (Darrell), her son, Paul and her grandchildren, Rowan and Ella. Seen here with her children, Hazel will always be remembered for her resounding love, unhesitating generosity, and unfailing kindness to all.
